Who We Are

Based in beautiful Dorset, where coastal walks and countryside adventures are part of everyday life, FULL GRAIN hound was born from a simple idea: to create dog accessories that are as durable as they are beautiful.

Like many dog owners, we struggled to find leads that were both hard-wearing and thoughtfully designed. So we decided to make our own. Guided by focus on premium materials, we began crafting dog leads designed to handle real adventures: from muddy woodland trails to salty seaside strolls along the Dorset coast.

Today, FULL GRAIN hound supplies handcrafted, premium dog leads to customers around the world. Each piece reflects our commitment to quality, longevity, and timeless design - made for dogs who love to explore and the humans who love them just as much.

One lead for every walk, in any weather

Most dog leads are made for dry days. Ours are made for the ones that are not. Every FULL GRAIN hound lead is handmade in Dorset from PVC-coated webbing that will not soak up water, mud or salt, so it wipes clean in seconds and never holds the odour a fabric lead picks up over a wet winter.

The three-glide adjustment means one lead does three jobs: shortened for close control on pavements and near traffic, let out to full length on open ground, or worn cross-body for hands-free walking and hiking. Our lightweight waterproof dog leads suit everyday walks and smaller dogs, while our heavy duty dog leads are built for large breeds and strong pullers, with thicker webbing and stainless steel hardware throughout.

Every lead is tested where we live: along the Dorset coast path, through shingle, wet sand and woodland mud. If it survives that, it will survive your walks.
